Taunton Area Communications Group were reestablished in 2006 and Greg Glynn W1VFB contacted G3XZW via e-mail unfortunately when we tried to e-mail him back they were bounced by the server. Having just set up the echolink node I decided to try and contact them via radio I found the closest linked repeater was the W1MV-R in Bridgewater and my call was answered by NI1X "The Bruce" who is also the president of WA1NPO Whitman A.R.C he pasted on my message to the rest of the group and a few days later I had a QSO with several of the members including Don and Greg who were then able to solve the problem with the bouncing e-mail's and the two clubs have been in contact ever since. I have taken part in several of their events and they have taken part in ours and I hope that this will continue for many years to come. They have been sending us newsletter pdf documents please see bottom of the page to download them and they now have their own website see link. |
